Systematic Grid of Points
There are several ways to generate a systemaitc grid of points. Hawth's tools has this functionality (directions). To enable Hawth's Tools on the Warnell computers, you must do the following:
- tools > extensions > check the box next to Hawths Tools
- tools > customize > check the box next to Hawths Tools
You can also set up the grid using Excel. I am assuming that your data is in UTM. This won't work if your data is in Lat/Long. If you are digitizing from one of the GIFF images, your data will be in UTM.
Download the attached spreadsheet and fill in the required cells. Some instructions are provided in the spreadsheet.
